Recently I bought a Massimo Dutti Suede Woven Belt. Just when I thought I am done with the belt, I got inspired by these runway pics of Missoni's Spring Summer 2009 Menswear collection. The belt I got seemed a bit long even when fastened to the first hole and I was not used to the end protruding out too much. But these Missoni models flaunt the woven belt styles with the long dangling ends, making it nonchalant and easy. Missoni's looks are imbued with a Navajo feel (mid west American inspiration) or island chic...perfect for the explorer or holiday maker in you. I love the inspirations:-) Great with cut-off jeans or even shorts and coloured pants:-)

With end of season sales arriving soon, time to conserve $ and get more mileage out of those shopping funds later when all brands start their most anticipated end of season markdowns:-)

Hence, to still keep shopping and yet not 'spend' away the sales shopping budget too soon, my plan is to shop now at more affordable labels, like Zara, Topman or Massimo Dutti, which offers high style at a great price:-). Furthermore, I do not want to pay full retail for an item at all those luxury labels and to find them reduced in a few week's time.:-) Not only does the current economy 'disapproves unnecessary expenditure':-P but my sensible mind also do not want to pay retail this close to the sales.

I have been smitten by the woven belt look which is excellent for summer styles. These belts is perfect for shorts and rolled up pants. Although I just got 2 new Muji ones, I was looking for a broader version to wear it with jeans. When I spotted this Massimo Dutti Woven Suede Belt In Sand Colour this evening, I fell in love! It is of the right width and I love the simple round brass buckle. There is some safari dejavu I get channelling from the belt because of the nice sand colour. So at a right price, I knew I want it and hence I got it:-) (Tip: Keep an open mind when shopping. This is not found in the men's department:-P)
