Christian Louboutin Rantus Orlato Pony Multi-Stripe Trainers

Every fashion fan dreams of wearing some red soles any day. Yes, Christian Louboutin shoes are like holy grail shoes for luxury shoe enthusiasts. Everyone wants one pair. With the launch of a mens collection, guys have joined in the lusting for Christian Louboutin shoes as much as their female counterparts.

I am one of them. And I want one pair. No make that 2 now:-)

Yes, welcome my second pair of Louboutins after my beloved studded Freddy Flats. Meet my new Christian Louboutin Rantus Orlato Pony Multi-Stripe Trainers, acquired during my recent Bangkok trip in mid January. (Never expect myself to locate a pair in the land of smiles since there were no Christian Louboutin boutiques in Bangkok! Cloud 9, a multi-label store in Gaysorn Plaza stocks a small selection of Louboutins.)

Love the contrasting black & white houndstooth and zig zag patterns, all trimmed with red patent leather piping for a striking pop of colour. Snappy and graphic, it's eye catching in a monotone way. The haircalf material also adds a lush and tactile appeal while softening the street edge of these highly coveted shoes.

I am in shoe heaven! Shoe treat yay!:-)

My Shoe Collection #51

Below: Stocking up for Fall Winter 2011... Boots from www.asos.com, gorgeous find at a great price!

Below: Boots are always in style no matter what the season, it's just practical to wear for Winter season since it is warm! Check out my new ASOS Brown Leather Military Tall Boots... all the way up mid calf!

Below: Zippers on the side for easy wearing!

Below: This pair features lace-up holes and then hiking boots style fastening at the top! It's a combination of details which I love, with tarnished leather for an aged feel!

Below: I wear UK size 41.. the boots cut small, do note... the boots (in black) is now on sale for £39, hurry! Must buy!

Below: Get your tall boots and you are ready for these Balmain Fall Winter 2011 looks! My favourite out of the collection...

ASOS Brown Leather Military Boots

Fall Winter season is the best time to hunt down boots, especially the tall mid calf ones that will be too warm for summer season. I own a pair of Zara Black Leather Boots which I took it for a spin in last December's Tokyo trip, I decided to stock up on a brown coloured pair as soon as I saw this one at www.asos.com.

Below: My Zara pair which I wore to Japan last Dec was not as tall as these ASOS ones... love them!

It's taller, more aged and will serve me well for next Fall Winter 2011. At £65 (Now on sale at £39! You have to grab it! Click here) a pair with free shipping (got this in December when they had the free shipping promotion), this is a bargain! I love the aged brown leather (wear them and kick around without worries of wear and tear!) and long laces that extends to become hiking boots style fastening. And if you think wearing these tall boots are going to be a hassle, the boots feature side zippers for easy wearing, how thoughtful! Also wear it with laces done half way for an even more nonchalant look (like what Balmain is doing on the Fall Winter 2011 lookbook):-P Boots are just cool to play around!

Stocking for coming seasons is what I do sometimes, seeing how I am going t0 try these 2 Balmain Fall Winter 2011 looks (see above) in 8 months time....:-P

My Shoe Collection #50

3.1 Phillip Lim Leopard Haircalf High-cut Trainers

A reader just tweeted me about a new pair of Mihara Yasuhiro leopard print trainers. So this is what prompted me to do this post.

Yes, I love leopard prints. Especially when it is all the rage since the past few seasons. It's like an undying classic print that gets revived again and again. It could hide amongst trends when not a key trend or take the fashion spotlight as seen in last Fall Winter 2010 season. And this Spring Summer 2011 season, these leopard prints are poised to steal limelight again, but in the men's collections instead of the womens. Givenchy and Trussardi 1911's mens collection have all unabashedly flaunt these feral patterns.

But do I really need another pair of leopard print shoes after my Comme Des Garcon and Lanvin versions? I asked myself that question. I am afraid the phrase of Leopard prints will soon fade... so I was not ready to commit to another pair. But when I saw these 3.1 Phillip Lim Leopard Haircalf High-cut Trainers (Fall Winter 2010 collection), it ignites that WANT in me again. Perhaps it's the haircalf, the white and tan colours, but most of all the contrasting leopard spotted prints that got me very excited. The different varying prints pieced together to form the shoe is special and interesting. The leather lined interior, the size zip (for easy removing of the shoes), with the hiking boots style laces all made for an irresistible shoe design. Rough and tough, street inspired but luxe in appeal.

Perfect for those rolled hem pants, long sleeve shirts and Tom Ford thick acetate eye glasses, preppy cool with a touch of street. Kawaii I might say, but love is what I will proclaim.

That will conclude my 'need' for leopard print shoes for now. Mihara Yasuhiro's... oops. You came too late:-)

... rustic elegance??!?

Dolce & Gabbana Raw Canvas And Waxed Leather Cap Toe Derby Shoes

I may have been a fan of bags... but I am also an admirer and avid shopper for shoes:-)

For the first 2011 addition to my ever growing shoe family...(which I got during my New Year vacation in Bangkok)... something from Dolce & Gabbana. It's really a love at first sight. I forgo the chance to buy my Hermès Clic Clac H Bracelet in White and Gold for this. But I never regret my decision:-)

Meet my new shoe for new 2011, Dolce & Gabbana Cap Toe Derby Shoes in Raw Canvas and Waxed Leather. There is just something with mixing raw edged canvas with gloss waxed leather in Khaki and Beige tones that I cannot resist. I wore a pair of white shorts when I tried them at the Siam Paragon store... it was perfect for summer styles. Hence, I brought it all the way back from Bangkok to Singapore, a pair of shoes that travelled thousands of miles even before I started walking in them:-) The shopping gods have spoken... I was meant to have them. Especially when my Club 21 member's discount was applicable even in Thailand:-)

(Note: The shoes have a slightly long body, so I took half a size down to look proportionately to my ankle width so I can wear them with shorts)

Now available at Dolce & Gabbana's boutique at Ion Orchard Singapore (Price:SGD890).

My Shoe Collection #48

Below: Leopard trend, here I come... thanks to Lanvin! Such elegant packaging too:-P Like a gift box...

Below: I love Lanvin's Leopard Print Leather Trainers, those bronze leather trim, brown suede captoe and grosgrain ribbon shoe laces simply looked fab!

Below: Not your typical leopard print, this Lanvin shoe has a stylised, painted smudged interpretation of leopard spots:-)

Below: Complimentary colour tone that gives the shoe safari chic:-) and great for mixing and matching any wardrobe:)

Below: If you do not like the grosgrain ribbon, then Lanvin has thoughtfully include white laces as well. 2 looks in one shoe:-)

Below: I debut my shoe at the recent Mulberry Fall Winter 2010 collection launch party at Sentosa:-) Works great with cropped pants...

Lanvin Leopard Print Leather Trainers

Leopard prints seems to be flooding the fashion scene. Some find it over the top, some simply adore it. For me, I love it and would adopt it sparingly. It is a wonderful pattern to wear, definitely eye catching while adding an exotic charm. Since leopard prints are going to recur to even Spring Summer 2011 and beyond, I want to buy into the trend!

What better way for guys to get some animal prints in their wardrobe than thru shoes:-) I found this pair of Lanvin Leopard Print Leather Trainers in their boutique at Hilton Hotel, Singapore. Though made for the fairer gender, these shoes have a neutral design and colour tone that works for guys as well. The leopard print is also stylised as a smudgy background, hence it is less flamboyant than the usual leopard patterns. I prefer the thinner sole of the women's version which makes the shoe less chunky. The grosgrain ribbon as shoe laces also adds to the charm and uniqueness of the design. Very Lanvin without having to shout with huge branding:-)

I debut the shoes during Wed night's Mulberry event at Sentosa. Works great with dropped pants and shorts. A chic pair of shoes that is going to survive trends for many years to come:-)

My Shoe Collection #47

Céline Laced Flat Sandals

Ever since Phoebe Philo helms the creative director role at Céline, the brand has taken leaps into the new millennium of power dressing, in a neutral, minimalist way which took the fashion world by storm. Everyone's mimicking the Phoebe Philo's Céline look. Devoid of frilly details, Phoebe's collections somewhat steers into masculine feminine territory and some pieces are even suitable for guys.

That is the reason why I decided to get this pair of Céline Lace Flat Sandals (from the Spring Summer 2010 collection) when it goes on 50% sale recently. I found another pair from Ann Demeulemeester which closely resembles the design but in a more severe manner (with more lace loops and metal eyelets), which I equally like. However, in the end, I got the Céline's pair since the Ann D. version can be found nowhere.

Wear it with shorts and it's an interesting footwear that adds a touch of urban warrior in you.

My Shoe Collection #46

Below: Time for my sale shopping reveal! 1st up... new shoes from German Brand 'Schmid', as acquired from Blackjack!

Below: Cool sneakers in digitised camouflage print! I was looking for camouflage print shoes and found it now:-) I am amazed at how light weight these sneakers are... great for travelling.

Below: These Schmid Denver Sneakers has an interesting cut...notice the back of the shoe slopes down to the back, looked great on the ankles with socks or tuck nicely under pants:-)

Below: Designed by Peter Schmid who works for Puma and Donna Karen...

Below: My 'happy' feet...

Below: Camouflage prints are all the rage this summer... Even Milan Vukmirovic, Trussardi 1911's head deisgner approves of this pattern. I love Milan's style and his new SS2011 collection for Trussardi. I am happy that I can get into a bit of the 'camouflage craze' thru these shoes:-)

Schmid Denver Camouflage Print Canvas Sneakers

With sale season reaching an end very soon, it's time to reveal some of my sale shopping conquests!

Besides the Tsumori Chisato silver print bowtie I got from Blackjack (A multi label store in Singapore that stocks the most avant garde labels with a strong lineup of Japanese designers), I also got a pair of ultra light weight sneakers to replace my soon to be very worn out Junya Watanabe Converse shoes.

I love these lightweight trainers from German label, Schmid. U may not have heard of Schmid or Peter Schmid the designer, but I am positive you would have seen some of his creations, especially if you love Puma shoes. Yes, Peter Schmid is best know for his footwear designs for Puma AG in which many of his designs including "Mostro", "Sprint", "Speedcat", "Avanti" are today regarded as classics with the brand. His designwork was vital to Puma's rapid expansion starting in the late 90's. From July 2000 to October 2000 some of his designs were shown at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Schmid has also worked on the Puma Golf collection as well as the Mens’ line for Pumas’ collaboration with Alexander McQueen. Other big fashion names in his portfolio included the American brand Donna Karen. With such an impressive resume, I am already developing an interest in his shoe designs. And when I saw this pair of Denver Sneakers at Blackjack in the currently hot camouflage print pattern, I am sold!

This pair of Denver sneakers has a unique cut. The semi high cut rise slopes down towards the back of your feet instead of the usual straight cut. I love the way they look on your ankles without wearing socks. These will be perfect to pull off the military camouflage trend I blog previously. It's also very light and dirt resistant for travels:-P An affordable pair of shoes suited for wear any day. It's definitely coming with me on my upcoming holiday!

(Note: Schmid sells online here as well as in Singapore at Blackjack, Forum Shopping Mall)
